How to burn a Data CD/DVD using Nero
Requirements
- Nero Express Essentials Version 7
- One Blank CD or DVD media
- One CD/DVD Burner
Instructions
- Start Nero express essentials
- from the options choose Data and Data CD or Data DVD
- If you beleive the data to be less than 700 MB then a CD is appropriate
- If you beleive the data to be less than 4 Gig then a DVD is appropriate
- If you beleive the data to be greater than 4 Gig then the following options are available
- USB Stick → up to 8 Gigabytes at the momment
- USB,firewire or eSata external harddrive → from 40 Gigabytes to ~1024+ Gigabytes
- Double layered DVD → ~8 Gigabytes
- the list goes on….
- Select the Add button and select the files/folder you wish to add.
- Once you have successfully added choose close to view the content you are about to burn
- Select Next > enter an appropriate disk name and also ensure that verification is selected. Also untick “allow files to be added later” unless you wish to be able to do so (I personally never have).
- Insert a Blank CD or DVD. Ignore the popup that will automatically run after a blank CD/DVD is inserted.
- In Nero choose Next and wait for the burning to complete
